The use of computers and new technology has enabled many business’s to grow. The taxi industry is no different. Previously, growth was restricted by the limitations of the telephonist and the operator. Calls were written down on paper, passed to the operator, who then called out over the radio. At that time a large fleet averaged around 50 cars.

There are now large taxi companies in excess of 200 vehicles in all the major towns and cities in the country.
